I prepared condensed milk with the thermomix because I needed it to make fast stracciatella gelato.
I preferred to do it myself at home so I could replace milk and butter with lactose-free milk and then it’s so easy to prepare that you will stop buying the one in cans.
If, on the other hand, you use soy milk and soy butter, it becomes a vegan condensed milk.
But let’s move on to the basics, what is condensed milk for?
Condensed milk is used in many sweet preparations and in most cases it serves as a thickener, for example to prepare ice cream, cheesecake or caramel-based desserts.
It is also used to fill cookies or bread, while in some countries it is used as a sweetener for tea or coffee.
As I have already mentioned above, I used it to try a new recipe for stracciatella ice cream and soon I will use it to prepare Camy Cream.

Thermomix Condensed milk
Ingredients
- 250 gr milk *
- 180 gr sugar
- 25 gr butter *
Instructions
Put all the ingredients in the bowl and cook: 15 min. at Varoma temperature vel. 2.
Pour into a glass jar, close and let it cool completely before placing it in the refrigerator… Buon appetito!

It can be kept for about 1 week in the refrigerator.
*For those who are intolerant to dairy products, it is possible to replace milk and butter with lactose-free ones. Instead, vegans can use milk and soy butter.
