For those with a love for both gadgets and gastronomy, cooking with the Thermomix brings a level of ease and precision to traditional recipes.

Apple crumble is a beloved British dessert known for its rich, sweet filling of soft cinnamon-spiced apples topped with a crispy, buttery crumble. It’s a perfect treat for any season, particularly enjoyed during the fall when apples are at their best.

Originating from the United Kingdom during World War II, the apple crumble was developed as an economical alternative to traditional apple pies. Due to rationing of ingredients like flour, sugar, and butter, the apple crumble used less of these supplies while still offering a delicious dessert option.

Using a Thermomix for your apple crumble not only simplifies the process but enhances it. Here are some tricks to making an exceptional apple crumble:

  • Perfectly Chopped Apples: Use the chopping function of the Thermomix to get uniform apple pieces that cook evenly.
  • Effortless Crumble: Mix your crumble topping in the Thermomix to achieve that ideal sandy, crumbly texture without any manual effort.
  • Consistent Cooking: The controlled temperature in a Thermomix ensures that your filling is perfectly cooked, enveloping your senses with its aromatic cinnamon essence.

Once you’ve mastered the apple crumble in your Thermomix, why not try other delicious apple-based desserts? Here are a few ideas:

Alternatively, you can prepare single portions using oven-safe molds. 🙂
There are those who prefer not to cook the apples and put them directly in a raw pan, but I still prefer the original version.

*For those who are intolerant to dairy products, it is possible to replace butter with lactose-free butter.
To make the apple crumble vegan it is necessary to replace the butter with the vegetable one.
