As I promised you on Monday, here is the recipe to prepare sour cream with yogurt at home. 🙂 Are you happy?

After some research, I discovered that for sour cream, the translation is sour cream and it is usually prepared with milk, cream, and lemon, but I also found a faster version with yogurt.
With yogurt, the waiting time is only 30 minutes.

For those unfamiliar with sour cream, it is a type of dairy product obtained from the fermentation of cream, used a lot in desserts like cheesecakes or as a side for savory recipes, such as a dip for meatballs.

It is also possible to prepare it for those who are lactose intolerant, using lactose-free yogurt and fresh cream.
Since I discovered I was intolerant and couldn’t find it at the supermarket, when I need it, I prepare it with the Thermomix in an instant. 🙂

Thermomix Yogurt Sour Cream

  • 150 ml greek yogurt *
  • 150 ml fresh cream *
  • 5 gr lemon juice


  1. Put all the ingredients in the bowl, mix: 1 min. speed 4.

  2. Pour the resulting mixture into a bowl, cover it with plastic wrap and leave at temperature for 30 minutes.

  3. After the time has passed, the Thermomix sour cream can be consumed immediately or stored in the refrigerator, always covered with plastic wrap… Buon appetito!

It can be kept in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. 🙂

*For those who are lactose intolerant, it is possible to replace cream and yogurt with lactose-free ones.
